The bread and butter of Naruto in gaming has always been the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja series, which was first released for PlayStation 2 in Japan on October 23, 2003, and internationally in 2006. With Boruto: Naruto Next Generations gaining momentum and putting more focus into the story of Boruto, it may be time for Bandai Namco to fully embrace Boruto by giving him his own video game. This is evident in the last three Naruto games, all released since 2017 - Naruto X Boruto: Ninja Voltage, Naruto X Boruto Ninja Tribes, and Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker. Borutomay have been at the forefront of the Naruto franchise since debuting in 2017, but it seems fans and Bandai Namco are still holding onto the nostalgia and popularity of both Naruto and Naruto Shippuden.
